Background

In the early 2000s, Uganda received many prophesies about its duo-calling of being a praying and a missionary sending country. This implied that God was looking unto you Uganda to pray and send missionaries. It also implied that it’s time for Africa to take the Gospel of liberty to where previously missionary came from. Similarly, I implied that believers in Uganda needed to wake-up and respond to the call.

By then, Bp. Gerald Mwebe (the founder and Patron of Global Mandate) had been traveling many nations across the globe preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ for years. However, with the coming of the prophetic message to Uganda realized that the body of Christ in Uganda needed to be re-awaken to respond to the great commission. With his passion to reach out to nations and as a way of responding to the Great Commission, he started a platform dubbed “Global Mandate” that would champion the mobilization, sensitization and equipping of the body of Christ for the great commission as given in Mathew 28:19-20- “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,”  And in Mark 16:15- And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. During one of initial mobilization session at the onset of Global Mandate platform, Bp. Gerald Mwebe said “we celebrate the work done (crusades, missions, and church planting) by the body of Christ so far but a lot is still needed”.

What Is Global Mandate??

Global Mandate is a trumpet call to the body of Christ to take on the missionary work given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ in accordance with Mathew 28:19 and Mark 16:15. Global mandate is basically our mandatory worldwide divine assignment given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. Global mandate is not a Man’s vision but Jesus’ Vision for the Church to full fill the great commission. Global is an event nor conference but is about the Great Commission for the body of Christ. Similarly, Bp. Gerald often says “Global Mandate is not my vision but it’s the vision of Jesus Christ for me and you for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Core Value of Global Mandate:

We exist to re-awaken the Body/ Church of  Christ to respond to Uganda’s duo redemptive calling of;

1. A Praying Nation
2. A Missionary Sending Nation

 “the supreme task of the church is the evangelization of the world”.
